International High School House Competition 2021
唱响青春赞歌，赛出真实自我 —— 2021国际高中House比赛实录
On the occasion of SIPFLS 10th anniversary, we also usher in the International High School House Competition 2021. Students were clad in uniforms. Both athletes and the audience were highly motivated. Four divisions included Men’s and Women’s Basketball as well as Men’s and Women’s Football. More than 200 high school students were engaged in different House games to compete for honor. Let's take a quick look!
Each basketball team consisted of 10 players. Each individual was allowed to shoot three times and his/her score would be added into his/her team’s total performance. All the players registered before competition and stood in line inside the penalty area. In the beginning, a girl lost points because of nervousness, but all her teammates tried to comfort and encourage her; when someone had a nice shot, others would cheer altogether. Indeed, the game atmosphere was tense but electric.
Each football team consisted of 10 players, in two groups. Each player was required to weave the ball through three cones. Look! Although many students were shy on the court, since they had never played football before, each of them focused on the task and tried every means to control the football.
This basketball game adopted the 21-point system and involved four matches. Besides, the number of spectators ranked first among the four games. When other games came to an end, students spontaneously sat around the court. All the audience attentively watched the game and cheered for the athletes!
Due to time limit, the first round was penalty kicks. After the sequence was decided, each team selected five players to take a shot on goal, bringing the competition to a climax. The second round was a 15-minute long 5v5 multiplayer game. Both teams were sweating on the playground and competing with each other for the award!
Finally, the International High School House Competition 2021 ended successfully. International Principal Mr. Joel Seow presented awards to the winning teams. This autumn, our athletes' performances have fully displayed their persistent spirit. We hope that our learners will make continuous progress and shine.
