IB department of SIPFLS has received its first ‘Five-Year Programme Evaluation’ report
五年征程,终获硕果 — 园外IB项目顺利通过五年一度评估

秋天,是收获的季节!今年,正值园外喜迎10周年之际,我校IB项目成功通过了IB国际文凭组织五年一度的评估,获得了高度的认可和赞赏。

Autumn  -  the season of harvest! An appropriate time to reap the fruits of five years of relentless hard work over here at the high school. On the occasion of tenth anniversary of SIPFLS, we are proud to announce that the IB department of SIPFLS has received accolades from the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) in its first ‘Five-Year Programme Evaluation’ report.

 

在这5年的IB教育过程中,园外国际高中IB项目组所有教师锐意进取,从IB教育理念出发,从无到有,从有到精,全面培养具有全球视野的优秀毕业生。5年项目一共走出四届共计98名毕业生。可喜可贺的是,每年毕业生平均成绩,从2018年的32分,2019年35分,2020年36分,直2021年的38分稳步提升。获得QS世界排名前30的高校录取通知书的基本要求是IB总分达到39分,而我校98名全文凭毕业生中,有28位取得了39分或以上的成绩,高分率达到28.6%。

During these five years, all teachers in the IB department shared a determination to forge ahead, launching the IBDP programme, and comprehensively cultivating outstanding global citizens. It now boasts a total of 98 graduates. We are especially gratified that the average points of our graduates per cohort has been steadily increasing : 32 points in 2018,  35 points in 2019, 36 points in 2020, and 38 points in 2021. The minimum admission requirement for admission to the top 30 QS Ranking world universities is 39 points. Among our 98 full-diploma graduates, 28.6% have met or even surpassed this requirement to be admitted to some of these universities.

 

IB项目评估,看重的不仅仅是学生成绩,更注重的是学校各个方面的成长:其中包括教学理念和政策,校园环境和设施,教学计划和目标,师资力量和培训等等。在评估结果中,我校各项指标都获得了卓有成效的长足发展。各项评估中,学校对IB教学的理解、系统性和连续性的学习规划、各学科交叉教学规划、CAS活动、升学指导规划等,更是获得了IB国际文凭组织的高度赞扬。这一切的成绩,蕴涵的是所有老师和学生的辛勤付出!

The IB evaluation process focuses not only on student performance, but also on the growth of all aspects of the school: teaching philosophies and policies, school environment and facilities, teaching plans and goals, teachers and training, etc. According to our evaluation report, our school has achieved substantial and satisfactory development in all aspects. In various assessments, the school’s understanding of IB teaching, systematic and continuous learning planning, interdisciplinary teaching planning, CAS activities, and guidance planning for further studies have been highly praised by IB organization. We are thankful for all these achievements and the contributions and good work by all our teachers and students!

 

五年不过一瞬,还有很多的五年在前面等待着我们。相信IB所有的师生已经做好了准备,在未来,以更优秀的成绩,迎接更艰巨的挑战!

The Five-year Evaluation is a milestone for any IB World School, but hardly its finishing line. We stand behind all our IB teachers and students in our belief that they will thrive as they take on even more challenges in the future!
